(6-16-2018, Dacono CO) The Gillett Vet Super Late Models returned to action for AutoNation Drive Prink NASCAR Knockout at Colorado National Speedway. Michael Scott from Cheyenne Wyoming rode the outside line to victory battling both Brett and Bruce Yackey. Justin Karrol got his first win in the Lincoln Tech Pure Stocks and Kyle Clegg left no doubt who was the best car in the Elite V Twin Legend Cars.
Gillett Vet Clinic Super Late Models
Cheyenne Wyoming’s Michael Scott in the yellow #82 Super Late Model bested the field in the Gillett Vet Clinic Super Late Models but it was by no means an easy task. Scott would have to get by both Bruce and Brett Yackey who started on the front row. Scott was using the outside lane and giving it literally everything he had drifting out of turn four. Eventually Scott would get to the front but young Brett Yackey showed grit and determination by hounding the leader for the entire 40 laps.
But when the checkered flag flew it was Scott out front with both Yackey’s right behind. Justin Simonson and Mark Neff rounded out the top 5.

Lincoln Tech Pure Stocks
It was a bit of a coming out party For LaSalle Colorado’s Justin Karroll in the #82 Lincoln College Pure Stock division. Karrol battled #03 Tyler Mander for the entirety of the race and both drivers demonstrated skill navigating a gaggle of lapped traffic. This was Karrol’s first win at CNS and it didn’t come easy due to the heavy traffic and pressure from Mander as well as #51 Joseph Dike. #7 David Robinson, and #60 Matthew Hill who all finished in the top 5

Elite V Twin Legend Cars
There was no denying Kyle Clegg in the Elite V Twin Legend Cars as he came barreling up from the 4th row in the feature to win the main event. Clegg devoured lapped traffic on his torrid pace to the checkered flag. There were a couple times during the feature that Danny Medina would give the 66 some pressure but for the most part Clegg was simply in a league of his own
Medina grabbed 2nd place but not without a strong battle from #05 Nick Cooper who would take home 3rd place. Wayne Barlock and Scotty Scott would round out the top 5.
