This Saturday September 14th, Colorado National Speedway will begin crowning 2024 champions during The Lodge Casino & Gilpin Casino Pure Stock Championship Night. The Rock N' Roll Brewery Pure Stocks will be the first division to decide their champion for 2024, and it has been a very entertaining season of racing for this entry level group.
Also competing this Saturday are the Matco Tools Pro Trucks, GTI Services Late Models & United Power Demo Cross Lite & Heavies. The Pro Trucks will decide their champion on September 21st, while the Late Models will race for their championship on September 28th. Click Here to grab your tickets.
ROCK N' ROLL BREWERY PURE STOCKS
The Pure Stocks always put on entertaining racing for fans each time they hit the speedway. In 2024 several of the Pure Stock races were combined with the Super Stocks and made for some intense action that proved the Pure Stock drivers were very fast running with some of the best in the Super Stock division. A couple new fresh faces visited victory lane including the top 2 in points No. 12S Shawn Sulley & current points leader, No. 5 David Wilson.
There have been a total of seven different Pure Stock winners this season; including the aforementioned Sulley (2 Wins) & Wilson (1 Win); along with No. 34 Ron Johnson (2 Wins), No. 18Y Justin Young (1 Win) & our most recent winner No. 32 Rick Phillips (1 Win) Ben Hendricks (1 Win), & No. 53 Josh Hopkins (2 Wins). Currently the top 3 in points are separated by only 33 points, and with double features this Saturday it is still anyone's race for the championship. The winner of the 2024 Pure Stock Championship must graduate to a different division for 2025 -whether that be moving up to Super Stock or another class at CNS – because Drivers are not allowed to race a Pure Stock once they win the Division Championship.
