Colorado National Speedway is proud to celebrate its 61st season of racing in 2026. Since opening in 1965, the speedway has been thrilling fans with unforgettable motorsports action. Visionaries Gene and Gerta Heffley carved a one-mile dirt oval out of a field overlooking the Rocky Mountains before the track evolved into a high-banked half-mile dirt oval. In 1989, the facility was reconfigured and paved, becoming part of the NASCAR Weekly Racing program and hosting prestigious events, including the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series from 1995–1997. New for 2026, Colorado National Speedway is expanding the excitement with the addition of a 1/8-mile drag strip, bringing another thrilling form of racing to the facility.

Today, Colorado National Speedway continues its tradition as Colorado's premier NASCAR short track while offering even more ways for fans to experience the excitement. The season features marquee events including sprint cars, monster trucks, the ARCA Menards Series, CARS Tour West, Legend Summer Nationals, North American Big Rigs, and more, alongside one of the region's premier weekly racing programs with the Rocky Mountain Region's best drivers competing across 11 divisions.
