Roger Avants grabbed the early lead in the 40 lap Gillett Vet Clinic Late Model main event but "the ice man" wasn't alone as he had Gering Nebraska's Rick Smith in the black #31 car all over his rear bumper. After a caution flag for #22 Chris Eggleston spinning in turn 2 Smith was able to take the lead from Avants on the double file restart. By the halfway mark the red hot #12 of Bruce "the moose" Yackey had pulled up on the inside of Avants and the two cars battled side by side, lap after lap for 2nd place. Eventually Yackey was able to get past Avants and then set his sights on Smith for the lead. Rick Smith had built a rather large lead on Yackey and never looked back as he ran away with the main event, and when the checkered flag dropped the #31 of Smith was all alone. Finishing a distant second was points leader #12 Bruce Yackey who was doing all he could to hold off #27 Roger Avants who came in 3rd. In 4th place was the "savage man" Dan Savage in the #74 car, and rounding out the top 5 was #7 Adam Deines.

A great field of 21 Pair A Dice Interior Finishes Sportsman cars took the green flag for a 30 lap main event. #6 Tommy Roe asserted himself early in the race as he assumed the lead. Behind Roe a huge pack of cars battled for position, #84 Bruce Borchardt, #32 Mark Neff, #98 Lee Kemmit were all jockeying for position. After a caution flag for liquid on the track the two GTI teammates of Roe and Kemmit paced the field on the double file restart. Kemmit was able to work his way past Roe to grab the lead and Borchardt was also able to get by Roe to grab second place. Sportsman points leader Lee Kemmit began to build a large lead on Borchardt but with just a few laps to go the #8 of Jeff Walbaum passed Borchardt for 2nd and quickly erased the large lead of Kemmit. Walbaum appeared to be the fastest car on the track as he pulled right up on Kemmit's bumper. There were not enough laps for Walbaum to make a move on Kemmit as the checkered flag dropped for Kemmit with Walbaum in 2nd. Borchardt took 3rd, Roe finished 4th and #3 Wade Grove finished 5th.
