Snap-on-Tools Pro Trucks
16 Pro Trucks hit the pavement for the 30 lap A Main. Things started out with #74 Cris Muhler on the pole, #34 Rudy Vanderwal on his outside, #07 Chris Leaf on the inside of row 2 and #22 Chris Eggleston on his outside. Rudy Vanderwal sprung to the lead with Eggleston close behind.
Eggleston took the lead from the get go but a spin-out along the front stretch brought on the first Pro Truck yellow flag of the season along with the evening's "Beer Garden Polka" where everyone in the Beer Garden got $1 off the beverage of their choice for the duration of the yellow flag.
When things got started again, Eggleston moved into the lead making quick work of Vanderwal. #7 Adam Deines also passed Vanderwal taking 2nd as another spin out on the front stretch lined him up with Eggleston for a double file restart.
During the yellow, announcer Marc Moser read aloud a letter written by "The Rock" Richard Burton. Burton survived a lightning strike while riding his bike to aid a neighbor suffering medical problems. The letter thanked everyone for their prayers during his recovery.
When the racing started again, Deines took the lead over Eggleston but chaos throughout the field signaled yet another yellow, lining Deines and Eggleston back up for another go. This time Eggleston took a slight lead but Deines stuck like glue to his bumper. Chris Leaf joined the battle for first at lap 29! Eggleston took the win followed closely by Deines and leaf.
Sunoco Grand American Modified
The action started fierce with #4 Mark Sopr, #69 Forest Smith and #11 Tom Evans running three wide through the first lap of the 30 lap A Main. Sopr came out on top with a slight lead over Forest Smith but Smith stole the lead via the inside of turn 4 on lap 3 while Sopr fell behind into 3rd, proceeded to wreck going into turn 2 and left the track resulting in a caution on the track. Smith ran away with the lead at the green flag with father and son #18 Ed Vecchiarelli and #48 Ed Vecchiarelli Jr riding door handle to door handle 2 car lengths behind. Smith held it together taking 1st place by the length of the front stretch. Vecchiarelli took 2nd followed by Ed Jr.
RMLRA Legends
#8 Jon Krizman spun out collecting #0 Legend car during the 2nd Legend qualifier of the evening. Damage to Krizman's Legend took him out of the remainder of the night's events.
#22 Chris Eggleston started in fourth for the 25 lap A Main and showed the pole he meant business, blazing into first right off the bat. #66 Kyle Clegg followed closely behind. Eggleston maintained his lead through several yellow flags while #3 Wayne Barlock and Clegg battled for 2nd. Eggleston took the win followed by Clegg, Barlock and #03 Darrell Stewart. Eggleston's next race will be on the National circuit in Kansas.
