Jeff Walbaum wins night one of the Dodge Dealers Mid-Season Championship

Jeff Walbaum held off the ever approaching Brinlee and Tommy Roe for his first victory this season at CNS. Now 2nd in points, Walbaum is a clear contender for the '09 Sportsman Championship.
25 Sportsman hit the track for the 30 lap main event. #38 Frankie Estes had the pole with #8 Jeffrey Walbaum on his outside. #62 Jim Bob Rogers had the inside of row 2, #49 Dennis Pobanz was on the outside. #99 Nick Brinlee followed on the inside of row 3.

After the qualifying heat race the car was found to be using gas pressurized shocks. The rule book states that only steel non- externally adjustable shocks are allowed. CNS has determined that any shock with an external charging valve is considered externally adjustable. This team was aware of this interpretation prior to competing with these shocks.
Penalty:
The Car and Driver were disqualified from the Qualifying race and allowed to complete the night’s events from the back of the feature race provided that these shocks were not utilized.

Another Win by Chris Muhler Makes Him the Point Leader
Rocky’s Autos Late Models
A beautiful Colorado summer evening was settling in and last weekends twin 40 lap feature winners Cris Muhler and Darren Roberston were set to battle along with 17 other of the best late model drivers in the country.
When the 40 lap main event started, #10 Tyler Chrisinger had the pole with #27 Roger Avants on the outside. #03 Happy Ferree had the inside of row two with the intimidating #11 car of Darren Robertson beside him. #95 Chris Muhler was on the outside of row 3.
