Only a few precious nights of racing remain and we can assure you that the 2010 season at Colorado National Speedway is gonna go out with a BANG! If you've been with us since April, you know the competition has been fierce all season long. Avants, Hults and Yackey have been in a three way battle for the Late Model championship. Love him or hate him, Happy Ferree is always a fun spectacle to watch and is only 2 points from taking the Pro Truck division point lead. The Sportsman, Super Stocks, Figure 8s and Legends have brought out strong numbers and serious competition every week. And everyone's favorite crazy Trains and Buses are dented, smashed and missing plenty of body panels thanks to their weekly presence.

Everything is on the line this month and we're poised to go out with a BANG! The greatest drivers in the state of Colorado will hit the track for the final 5, most intense races of the 2010 racing season at Colorado National Speedway. You've Gotta Be Here!!!

Sept 4 - SPECIAL LABOR DAY EVENT!

Get here early on Sept 4th to grab a good seat because we're hosting our 2nd 100 lap Late Model Main Event! If you were lucky enough to be present for the our last 100 lapper you'll remember seeing the biggest, zero injury, Late Model pile up in the history of Colorado National Speedway. It's an intense battle for the win and with 100 laps, it's anyone's race! The Figure 8s, Sportsman, Legends and Mod Coupes are ready and waiting to knock your socks off in consecutive Main Events of their own! Gates open at 3PM, Main Events start at 6PM but get here early to grab a good seat! It's our Labor Day Event sponsored by Pepsi!

Sept 11 - Military Night (LM SS LEG SM TR)
Tonight we remember the friends and family we lost in the most devastating terrorist attack on the United States. It's military night at CNS on Sept 11th. As a thanks for their devotion to serving and protecting our country from those who wish harm upon us, anyone with a military ID will get reduced $8 admission. It's going to be a great night, Late Models, Super Stocks, Legends, Super Modified and Trains. Thanks again to all who protect our freedom.

They say the 3rd time's the charm, but taking his 3rd Late Model win in a row at Colorado National Speedway didn't come easy for Roger Avants. He held off Robertson and Yackey and grabbed the win! As for the Sportsman, Blackie Blackard took the win by the skin of his teeth over the tenacious Tommy Roe, Jeff Walbaum and Bruce Borchardt.

Speedy's Autos Late Models
#12 Bruce Yackey had the pole with #27 Roger Avants on the outside and #22 Chris Eggleston had the inside of row 2. Avants sped to the lead to start the 40 lap A Main. NASCAR up-and-comer Chris Eggleston darted past Bruce Yackey and proceeded to take on Avants for the top spot. Chris and Roger rode doorhandle to doorhandle round several laps but Chris Eggleston spun out between turns 3 and 4 and was sent to the rear of the field. Avants took the lead on the restart and #11 Darren Robertson came out of nowhere, passing Bruce Yackey for 2nd place at lap 20. Robertson and Yackey stuck to the tail of the #27 but they just couldn't pass him. Avants took his 3rd consecutive Late Model win at Colorado National Speedway followed by Robertson, Yackey, Ronnie Hults and Dan Savage.

Points leader Eric Holmes of Escalon, CA takes a well earned victory at Colorado National Speedway after fending off the ever approaching Luis Martinez, Jr. This win marks Holmes' 4th win of the season and his 2nd consecutive win after blowing the doors off the competition at Montana Raceway Park on August 7th.
