Attention: open in a new window. PDFPrintE-mail
callinginsickCNS would be nothing without you. We mean it. So, to show our gratitude for your support of our racing program, we're inviting you out for a full day of FREE fun at Colorado National Speedway! ($15 entry pitside)

Friday, Sept 25th we'll open our gates for our 2nd to last event of the 2009 season. Plenty of your favorite drivers will be out to start hot laps at 10AM SHARP. The price you pay to enter - $0. You read correctly, there is no charge to enter this event! Call in sick, take a vacation day... do whatever you can to come down and enjoy the day with us.

While you watch hot laps from 10AM - 3PM, the beer garden will be open in hospitality, ready to slake your thirst with moderately priced beer. Come hungry because our concessions will be open, serving our entire menu of great food all day long. Have a hot rod, street rod, rat rod, classic or vintage car or bike that you want to show off? After we finish up with hot laps, we'll ask anyone who'd like to participate to bring their car to the track for the last car show of the season.

BUT THAT'S NOT ALL

Starting at 6PM we'll have a band on hand to sing us into the evening. The whole thing wraps up at 9PM!

Racing, beer, food, music, dancing and MORE?!? You'd be crazy not to miss our farewell party. So play hooky Friday September 25th and we'll see ya at CNS!

You've Gotta Be Here!

Richard "the Rock" Burton

Attention: open in a new window. PDFPrintE-mail

One of the most popular and well liked drivers at Colorado National Speedway is Richard "the Rock" Burton and as many of you might know Richard was struck by lightening on September 9th. All of us at CNS have been praying for Richard who remains in the hospital. This event has sent shockwaves through the Colorado Racing community.

Regular updates regarding Richard's condition as well as the out pouring of prayers and well wishes are being shared at BigWestRacing.com. Please feel to stop by Big West Racing and check on Richard's condition and send your well wishes along as well.

Colorado National Speedway Changes Date For Challenge Cup

Attention: open in a new window. PDFPrintE-mail
Dacono, CO (September 11, 2009) Forecasts for unseasonable cold and wet weather have forced Colorado National Speedway officials to postpone tomorrows schedule Colorado Challenge Cup.

The Speedway will move the events scheduled for September 12, 2009 to Saturday September 26, 2009. The Challenge Cup part II scheduled for Saturday September 19 will take place as scheduled. The change in schedule will force the cancelation of the “Outlaw Cup” that had been originally scheduled for the 26th of September, but at this time the practice session and car show scheduled for Friday September 25 will take place as schedule.

Attention: open in a new window. PDFPrintE-mail

eggleston-pro-truckSunday night concluded the Pepsi Labor Day weekend Shoot Out at Colorado National Speedway. Clear skies ushered in an unforgettable night of racing. The Legends brought 4 different divisions to race in 2 separate features. The Pros and Masters matched up against each other and the Semi Pros raced along side the Young Lions (Legends drivers 16 and under). The winners of tonightís Legend features would take a spot in the Asphalt Nationals in Lanier, GA.

The Super Modifieds rounded up the evening's events, followed by the Sportsman. The Pro Trucks came out to headline the program for their second to last feature of the season. Both Mark Neff and Billy Harkins were riding on the heels of point leader Adam Deines. All we could do was wait (on the edge of our seats) to see what would happen.
