Speedy's Autos Late Models
#74 Dan Savage and #31 Rick Smith blew the doors off the rest of the field, competing in a race all their own as they moved to the front of pack and dueled for the lead. At lap 24 of the 100 lapper, the leaders approached lapped traffic and Savage controlled a comfortable lead.

Jim Bob Rogers and Cris Muhler Shine for Part 1 of the Midseason Championship
Among the talent at Colorado National Speedway, Adam Deines, Blackie Blackard, Chris Leaf and Happy Ferree all brought their A Game for the first night of the Independence Day marathon. But Jim Bob Rogers and Cris Muhler just couldn't be taken down.
#62 Jim Bob Rogers started the 30 lap Sportsman A Main on the pole. #99 Nick Brinlee had the outside of row 1. In row 2 #39 Scott Estes had the inside with #38 Frankie Estes on his outside. At lap 10 our point leader #64 Blackie Blackard had taken 2nd place behind Jim Bob, #6 Tommy Roe had 3rd. Try as Blackie might, Jim Bob had a solid hold on his lead and rode it the remaining 20 laps to victory. Blackard took 2nd followed by Roe and #8 Jeff Walbaum.
Name: Scott Rhoades
Car Number: 17
CARC Modified Coupe
Date of Infraction:
After being penalized during the feature event for jumping the restart and failing to relinquish the advanced positions, the car and driver were penalized four positions. After the race Mr. Rhoades came to the tower and exhibited actions that were, to say the least, detrimental to the sport of auto racing. In addition, CNS officials were physically threatened.
The Car and Driver is suspended for the July 3rd event and will not receive points or purse for the June 19th event. Mr. Rhoades is also placed on probation until 12-31-2010
Roger Avants Takes His First 2010 Late Model Win
Mere inches separated the top 4 Late Models during their grueling 20 lap battle for the win. "The Ice Man" Roger Avants stole the lead at the very end, locking in his first A Main win of the season.
Speedy's Autos Late Models
Points leader #42 Ronnie Hults left the track before the race started. #27 Roger Avants and #31 Rick Smith had an exciting 19 lap drag race with #12 Bruce Yackey following closely behind. A pile up along the back stretch brought on a red flag. Among the cars involved were the #22 of Chris Eggleston and the #48 of Ed Vecchiarelli Jr, both drivers were towed off the track. When the race resumed, you could throw a blanket over the top 4. Hansen, Smith, Yackey and #11 Darren Robertson raced in tight formation. Robertson backed off the battle for 3rd, paving the way for Yackey. Meanwhile, Avants won the battle for the lead over Rick Smith. At the finish it was Avants followed by Smith, Yackey and Darren Robertson
