Roger Avants Takes His First 2010 Late Model Win
Mere inches separated the top 4 Late Models during their grueling 20 lap battle for the win. "The Ice Man" Roger Avants stole the lead at the very end, locking in his first A Main win of the season.

Points leader #42 Ronnie Hults left the track before the race started. #27 Roger Avants and #31 Rick Smith had an exciting 19 lap drag race with #12 Bruce Yackey following closely behind. A pile up along the back stretch brought on a red flag. Among the cars involved were the #22 of Chris Eggleston and the #48 of Ed Vecchiarelli Jr, both drivers were towed off the track. When the race resumed, you could throw a blanket over the top 4. Hansen, Smith, Yackey and #11 Darren Robertson raced in tight formation. Robertson backed off the battle for 3rd, paving the way for Yackey. Meanwhile, Avants won the battle for the lead over Rick Smith. At the finish it was Avants followed by Smith, Yackey and Darren Robertson

Chris Eggleston Takes His 1st Late Model Win of the Season

Speedy's Autos Late Models
After a brief tussle with #12 Bruce Yackey and #11 Darren Robertson, #22 Chris Eggleston broke away for the lead. Eggleston hit lapped traffic at lap 15 while Yackey and Robertson duked it out for 2nd. A yellow flag signaled a double file restart. Eggleston had the lead, Robertson in 2nd, Yackey in 3rd, #74 Dan Savage in 4th and #31 Rick Smith was in 5th. Eggleston took the outside for the restart, edging out Darren Robertson for the lead by a nose. Eggleston and Robertson stretched out their lead over the rest of the field. With 25 laps of racing to go, it looked like Robertson had a chance of toppling NASCAR up-and-comer Chris Eggleston. Chris Eggleston did a magnificent job, fending off the ever approaching Robertson. At the checkered it was Eggleston for the win. Robertson took 2nd as he crossed the checkered at Chris's side. Bruce "The Moose" Yackey took 3rd.
