Rules
Effective at the completion of the third scheduled event of the 2011 CNS schedule, (Saturday April 23rd for Sportsman and Saturday April 30th for the Figure 8 division) all competitors will be required to participate on the Hoosier 700. The Hoosier 700 has proven to be a very repeatable tire which should help to balance competitor budgets. For races scheduled prior to and including the cut off dates mentioned above, competitors will have the option to run the Hoosier F-75 or the Hoosier 700 at their discretion. In either case, all tires used for competition at CNS must be purchased from CNS.
We sincerely hope that this change will not only provide for a less expensive racing season but also provide additional opportunities for racers in the Super Stock division to purchase take off tires should that be an option for them.

The Ownership of Colorado National Speedway is excited to announce that we have finalized a deal to utilize the MYLAPS Transponder system for our scoring and line-up processes. Effective for the 2011 race season each competitor at Colorado National Speedway will be utilizing a transponder during each racing event.
Our competitors have asked for this improvement for several years and we are happy to be able to bring this new technology to our facility for 2011. The transponders can either be purchased at a cost of $425.00 each through the speedway or rented for $40.00 per event. If purchased through CNS the transponder will come with an 8-year graduated warranty.
CNS appreciates that this is an added expense and sincerely hopes that our competitors and fans appreciate that this technological improvement is certainly a benefit to all. Every attempt has been made to keep the cost of this new improvement as low as possible, while providing the best system possible. We are eager to implement this new technology and look forward to improved accuracy and a more streamlined scoring process.
One of the great features of this program is the ability for each competitor to track their individual lap times both during practice and race events through mylaps.com.
Attached below is a request form to be completed for each car/truck. Please Email or fax as soon as possible to the CNS business office.

We will have this program in place for our first practice event scheduled for March 19, 2011. Guidelines for mounting and placement will be forthcoming.
The correct transponder for the system we will be using at CNS is located here. Yet, keep in mind that if you buy the transponder directly from CNS you will save over twenty dollars, pay NO SHIPPING, and get a 8 year warranty.
Transponders will be mandatory for the following divisions: Late Model, ProTruck, G.A. Modified, Sportsman, Super Stock, Legends, Modified Coupes & Super Modifieds.
Figure 8's and Trains will not utilize the transponder system.
NOTE: The red AMB/Mylaps transponder that they use at Cheyenne WILL work with with the new system at CNS.

2011 OFFICIAL CNS RULE BOOK
We at Colorado National Speedway hope you are all having a wonderful winter and holiday season. Believe it or not, the 2011 race season is just around the corner. No season would be complete without the annual Colorado Oval Track Trade Show. As usual, we will have a booth at the show where you will be able to purchase the following:
- 2011 NASCAR License (online NASCAR license renewals are available if you were a NASCAR member in 2010 @ nascarmembers.com)
- CNS Car Registration and Number Form ($75 per registration) Any team changing drivers mid-season will be required to purchase a new number for that new driver, so please keep that in mind when choosing your numbers. There will be no Duplicate numbers allowed, as was the case last year. The number will stay with the driver all season per the 2011 rule book.
- Rules books can be printed on-line after January 20, 2011 at (www.coloradospeedway.com). A limited number of printed copies will be available at the show.
- Pit Stall Reservations ($75.00)
We look forward to seeing you at the show!
