Hults-3The May Trucking Late Model 100 is in the record books. Chris Eggleston, Darren Crocker and Bruce Yackey all brought their A-Game, but an outside pass over Chris Eggleston ushered Ronnie Hults to his 2nd consecutive Late Model win, securing his point lead for another week.

Speedy's Auto Sales Late Models
By lap 3, #22 Chris Eggleston had squeezed by #12 Bruce Yackey and #78 Darren Crocker for the lead. At lap 11 #42 Speedy Ronnie Hults had maneuvered from his start in 8th to the 3rd spot. 25 clean laps later, Eggleston was still creating distance between himself and Darren Crocker. Half way into the 100 lap Main Event, Bruce Yackey was biding his time in 5th, Eggleston had a half track lead on the closest competition and Ronnie Hults was in a three way duel for second with Darren Crocker and Roger Avants. A spin out along the front stretch created an opening for Yackey who took 3rd. Darren Crocker dropped back to 10th place. Eggleston and Hults lined it up for a double file restart. Eggleston elected to take the outside. That strategy failed and Ronnie took the lead going into turn 1. With 5 laps to go, Speedy Ronnie Hults had a lead the length of the front stretch over Eggleston, and half a track's lead over Bruce Yackey. Hults finished first followed by Chris Eggleston, Bruce Yackey, #74 Dan Savage and #11 Darren Robertson. This marks Speedy's 2nd consecutive Late Model win of 2010.

#27 Roger Avants, #22 Chris Eggleston, #7 Adam Deines, #1 Happy Ferree and #07 Chris Leaf had broken away from the rest of the field by lap 3 of the 30 lap A Main. Roger Avants was just barely holding off the approaching Eggleston. Coming through turn 3 of lap 14, contact between Deines in 3rd and Eggleston in 2nd resulted in the #7 of Adam Deines being sent to the rear of the field. A messy double file restart was ruled the fault of #1 Happy Ferree and he too was sent to the rear of the field. Chris Eggleston elected to take the outside for the restart; Leaf had the inside. Despite body damage afflicted throughout the messy A Main, leaf blew past Eggleston for the lead. Meanwhile Happy had made his way back up the field into 3rd. Chris leaf took the win followed by Chris Eggleston and Happy Ferree.

ERA Super Modifieds
#33 Chris Sheil started on the pole with #88 Kevin Day on his outside. At lap 7 #40 Harry Stone dove into the inside of Sheil going into turn 3. He started getting loose, but regained composure and stuck to the tail of the 33 machine. 2 laps later Harry Stone found the inside line he was looking for and darted ahead of Sheil, taking a massive lead the length of the front stretch. #11 Nick Haygood tagged along passing Sheil for 2nd place. By lap 20 last year's Supermodified champ, #2 Rich Castor Jr, who'd started dead last, joined the leaders in 4th place. Stone crossed the checkered first followed by Haygood and Rich Castor Jr.

LothertShed's-R-Us Super Stocks
28 Super Stocks made it to the 25 lap Main Event. Sparks flew as drivers rubbed together, passed each other, got sideways and smashed into walls. When the dust settled after 10 laps of racing, the cream of the crop had risen to the top of the field. #46 Rick Lothert had the lead, #17 Jeremy Barclay was in 2nd, #19 Scott Miller had the 3rd spot and #13 Jason Morris was in 4th. At lap 21 chaos hit the track as 3 drivers in 3 different turns got sideways all at once. At the double file restart, Scott Miller passed Barclay for 2nd. Rick Lothert took the win followed by Scott Miller, Jeremy Barclay and #00 Dennis Edwards. Lothert celebrated in his typical manner with a brief "Lothert Shuffle" atop his #46 machine.
