Grand American Modified crankshaft height will stay at 11 inches for the 2009 season. This rule inadvertently left out of the 2009 rule book.

ALL CLASSES:

Wheel Base:
The maximum allowable wheel base tolerance must not exceed ½” +/- on the other side.  Please refer to the applicable division rules for minimum specifications.  As presented for inspection.  No exceptions.

Tire Softener:
No tire softener will be allowed on CNS property. A team that is found to have brought onto the premises or found using tire softener will automatically be suspended, lose all points for the year and will be fined. No exceptions.

Latemodels:
Fiberglass or plastic rear quarter panels will be allowed as manufactured only.

ENGINE REQUIREMENTS:

Crankshaft Height:
All Engines must maintain a minimum of 11 inches measured at center of crankshaft to ground, as presented for inspection.

Superstocks:
Pinning of stock type press-in rocker studs will be allowed. Stock type OEM replacement screw-in rocker studs will be allowed. (No shoulder)

New Point System:
Points will be awarded using the NASCAR weekly series point system. The system awards 2 points per position working from last (2 points) to first. The maximum awarded points will be 46 points (based on a 23 car field). There will not be any double point nights. If the field is larger than 23 cars, all starting cars will receive 2 points to start the feature event. The most points ever awarded will be 46 points to the winner.

The rules, regulations, procedures, and information set forth herein are designed to provide for the orderly conduct of motor racing events and to establish minimum acceptable requirements for such events. These rules shall govern the condition of all COLORADO NATIONAL SPEEDWAY events, and, by participating in these events, ALL NASCAR members and all others are deemed to have complied with these rules. No expressed or implied warranty of safety shall result from the publications of, or the compliance with these rules, regulations, or procedures. They are intended as a guide for the conduct of the sport and are in no way a guarantee against injury and/or death to participants, spectators, or all others. 

Track officials shall be empowered to permit minor deviation from any of the specifications herein or impose any further restrictions that in his/her opinion do not alter the minimum acceptable requirements. NO EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF SAFETY SHALL RESULT FROM SUCH ALTERATION OF SPECIFICATIONS. Any interpretation or deviation of these rules is left to the discretion of the Track Officials. Their decisions are final. 

In keeping with the CNS commitment to maintaining proper balance in the competition arena, it may be necessary for CNS Management to make rule changes and/or rule modifications from time to time. Such changes are designed to enhance close competition. CNS’ goal of a full starting field of various car/truck makes in each race that are as equally matched as possible is certainly in the overall best interest of the sport. 

No equipment or race car will be considered as having been approved by reason of having passed through inspection “unobserved”. If this rule book does not specifically state that a change / modification / addition is legal, then a competitor must consider that change / modification / addition as illegal. Any questions about the legality of a change / modification / addition not covered in this rule book MUST be answered by CNS in writing, and that decision is final.
