(06-16-2012 Dacono CO) A wild night at CNS was capped off when the black and green #12 Late Model of Bruce Yackey held off the hard charging #7 of young Adam Deines to bring home the win. Yet it was the action in the pits that had the massive crowd at CNS on their toes as multiple brawls broke out pitside when tempers boiled over during the Grand American Modified main event.

(Dacono, CO 06-09-2012) It was 95 degrees when the racing began at Colorado National Speedway but the heat on the track was even more intense as #98 Lee Kemmit and #8 Jeff Walbaum raced side by side to the finish in the Sportsman main event. #27 Roger Avants won the Pro Truck Feature, #66 Kyle Clegg took the legend feature and #3 Harold Evans won the ERA Supermodified main event.

(Dacono, CO 06-02-2012) Chris Eggleston from Erie Colorado uncharacteristically struggled in last weeks big Memorial Day race, but this weekend in winner's circle Chris credited his crew for making the complete turnaround allowing him to lead from green to checker on Colorado Christian University Night at CNS.

NASCAR isn't just about enormous coliseums and mammoth crowds. Summer brings racing to more than 50 regional tracks (hometracks.nascar.com), where the atmosphere is small-town and family friendly. "These are local tracks, local fans and local competitors," says Dick Berggren, a NASCAR pit reporter for Fox, and executive editor of Speedway Illustrated magazine. "It's a different experience." Some speedways also host NASCAR regional series, letting crowds see up-and-coming stars. He shares some favorite tracks with Larry Bleiberg for USA TODAY.

Located north of Denver, the paved oval track is a NASCAR leader in social media, updating fans during races through its website and on Twitter. (Its handle: @cnsracing). (Dacono, CO 05-27-2012) On day two of the CNS Memorial Day race it appeared that multi-time Late Model track champion Bruce "the Moose" Yackey might be on his way to winning the biggest race of the year at Colorado National Speedway. Yet Rick Smith from Gering Nebraska made a strong move on the outside of Yackey to take the win and top the huge field of 29 Late Models that were on hand for the event.

(05-26-2012 - Dacono, CO) Lee Kemmit in the #98 Dodge won yet another main event maintaining his stranglehold on winner's circle for the Sportsman division. In the Pro Trucks #07 Chris Leaf landed in winner's circle as did #33 Bear Lynch in the Super Stocks. #3 Harold Evans piloted his supermodified to the win in the first ERA event of the season at CNS.

As of yesterday the weather forecast looked fairly grim but CNS officials were still holding out hope that the May 19th races would be able to be run. However, the rain has intensified and the forecast continues to worsen therefore CNS officials have been forced to cancel the events scheduled for tonight (May 19th).
Next weekend is our big 2-Day Memorial Day race. On Saturday May 26th we will feature Sportsman, Pro Truck, Super Stocks, Supermodifieds, and Trains. Then on Sunday May 27th get ready for a 100 lap Late Model main event, a 40 lap GAM main event, plus the Mod Coupes, Legends, and Figure 8s.
