Leaders Jim Bob Rogers and Bear Lynch approached lapped traffic coming around turn 4 of the final lap, making for a startling finish to the Sportsman Main Event.
Pair-A-Dice Sportsman
#62 Jim Bob Rogers, #6 Tommy Roe and #41 Bear Lynch moved to the front to lead the massive field of sportsman for the 50 lap A-Main Event. A spin out 15 laps in brought the field back together for a restart. Jim Bob had the pole with Bear Lynch on the outside and Tommy Roe had the inside of row 2. Jim Bob elected to take the outside and Lynch passed him via the inside along the back stretch. Another spin out brought on another double file restart. This time, Jim Bob took back his spot at the head of the field. With 10 laps to go, Bear Lynch was putting the pressure on Jim Bob. At lap 42 the leaders were knee deep in lapped traffic. Suddenly, Lynch passed Rogers with only 5 laps to go! Rogers pulled around the inside of Lynch but the two were coming up on lapped traffic as they drove around turn 4. Jim Bob spun out 30 feet from the finish as Lynch sped past the checkered flag for the win.
